Too many horses: Northwest tribes consider slaughter facility for wild horses

I could go on and on about how wrong this is. I guess gelding stallions or just managing the herds at all would be too logical to reduce the numbers. After all there’s no money in that. Slaughtering horses would mean yet more money for the tribes.
Disgusting.

I have always said that people who think Indians have a mystical connection to horses need to take a closer look.
That absolutely breaks my heart! You would think as large as this country is, there would be room for all.
Liz I am in the market for a broke to ride gaited horse if you see anything in your neck of the woods let me know. I am hoping to find something between 7 and 15, mare or gelding, hopefully not over 15 hands. We will be using it for trailriding and I want full ownership no strings attached. Annie and I have been putting in lots of miles and I am loving it!
Beyond disgusting, it is criminal.
I'm late to the comment party, but gelding only limits the gene pool, not the number of foals born...
