I have been lacking in my posting lately. And I do have lots to write and photos to share, just not enough time to get it done it seems. Here is a brief update.
I put tomato seeds in plastic egg cartons on the radiant heated bathroom floor. Had seedlings within a week and just repotted them the other day. They are doing smashingly well. Roma, heirloom and legend.
Put cucumbers, tomatillos and soybeans in another flat three days ago and they are now up!
Paddock Boy was able to rig a shop light stand for me to continue to coddle the plants along until it’s time to move them outside. It may be a while...we had hail and snow this afternoon! And more is in the forecast. Winter isn’t gone yet. But I long for fresh tomatoes for salsa and lots of cukes for more pickles!
And there is a bald eagle currently roosting in the oak tree in the front yard.

How lucky you are to have an eagle rightr out your front porch! WOW! Looks like you've got a great start on your garden. I haven't started mine yet.
Pretty special having an eagle so close! I am so tired of this long cold winter, planting a garden seems a distant dream as I look outside to this starlight, frigid night and the prospect of another cold and windy day tomorrow. Sigh.
More snow on the way.....I imagine it might be June before winter is over this year!
Those little plantlings make me wish I had a garden! I guess I could do tomatoes in a pot!

I just heard from my mom that it's snowing aqain there. Great. You are going to have an awesome crop this year! Can't wait to see it all planted, whenever that may be! ;)
And, it's so nice to see the eagle again. One of the times I watced your place he was there almost everyday. A stunning sight for sure.

How cool is that to have an Eagle in your front yard? I get excited when we see the herd of deer running across the pasture. We don't have eagles in our area, lots of hawks though.

Very nice eagle pic, and smart idea starting the Tommys and cucumbers. My folks just got their load of mushroom dirt for thier garden yesterday.
